I'm in pain, physical pain. While I was out being an all star dog owner and playing fetch I re-injured my knee. I was throwing the ball for Lucy when I decided it would be a good idea to throw it as far as I could. The ball was in my grasp, I reached my arm back in preparation for the release. I planted my left leg and rotated my body, transferring the power from my legs up through my body. As the ball released from my hand, a sharp pain shot out of my left knee. The last time my knee felt this way was when I was in high school.
While in high school I was an all-start tennis player. During my match I spun my second serve in. After volleying back and forth, I hit an approach shot and followed it into the net. My opponent lobbed me, as I ran back I decided to get a little fancy. I went for a tweener, but the ball took a weird bounce. As I tried to adjust my knee popped out, just like it did tonight.
I was really looking forward to this beer tonight. It will be followed by a couple more. Not what I wanted to have happen before Christmas vacation.
For the eighth Beer of Christmas my craft beer store gave to me, Over & Out Oatmeal Stout by Fish Brewing Company!
The Over & Out Oatmeal Stout has a nice light caramel taste with rich dark chocolate notes. The stout pours black with a little caramel colored head that leaves very little lacing around the glass. The carbonation is minimal, which give a smooth drinking experience. It's not as heavy as some stouts can be, which is nice when you are starting your night out.
I'm ready for another beer, what about you? It is Friday after all.
