Hop Gobbler by Oddside Ale

What is the world coming to! Gina Rodriquez wins a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical for the CW show Jane the Virgin. She beat out Lena Dunham (Girls), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Julie Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), and Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black). Transparent, and Amazon Instant Video TV Series, wins the Golden Globe for Best Television Series beating out my personal favorite, Silicon Valley.

More and more the smaller TV stations and internet TV are beating the once great Cable channels like HBO. I haven't seen these two shows mentioned above, but I watch other CW shows like Flash and Arrow. Good TV is being made all around us. I personally am looking forward to Marvel to release Daredevil on Netflix. The networks need to step their game up. Network television is stuck in the time of scripted realty TV shows. UGH! Worst TV out there is the scripted reality TV shows. I hope these Golden Globe awards prove that.

Not only is this shift in TV dominance odd, so is this hop-tastic beer from Odd Side Ales.

Odd Side Ales delivers a hoppy IPA with Hop Gobbler. This IPA pours with an amazing yellow copper color with a small amount of white head. The ale does leave some lacing around the glass as it was delivered repeatedly to my mouth for consumption. The IPA gives off hints of floral and hoppiness. The taste follows suit to the smell. The taste buds are overwhelmed with hoppy and bitter flavors. Odd Side Ales is a spectacular brewing company. I have enjoyed many of their beers in the paste and will continue to enjoy their beers. Michigan beers are top notch these days.
